And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away.  Nehemiah 12:43

There are three things we can see in this text regarding God's directives for joy and celebration.

1.  Joy Comes from God's Call

2.  Joy and Celebration Come from God's Plan and Purposes

3.  Joy is at its fullest when it's celebrated with others (It's hard to have a party by yourself!)
