June 6 "The Circle of Life" Dr. Brad Hoffmann

You are created in the image of God. As an image-bearer, you have a purpose, worth, contribution, and a future. This talk affirms the value of all life, pre-born, child, adult, and senior adult. Life is valuable, no matter the stage or context. This talk celebrates life.

What is the difference between an opinion and a conviction?

What is the difference between an opinion and a conviction?

John 16:8–11 (ESV): And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

  • Conviction comes by the Holy Spirit
  • Conviction is evidence of the work of God in one's life
  • Conviction is life-giving
  • Conviction is a knowing resulted in action

Life is Sacred

Ecclesiastes 3:1–2 (ESV): For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

Genesis 1:26 (ESV): Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Matthew 19:13–15 (ESV): Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, 14 but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." 15 And he laid his hands on them and went away.

Psalm 139:13–14 (ESV): For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 71:9 (ESV): Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent.

To love life is to protect, nurture, and honor individuals.

How do we protect?

How do we nurture?

How do we honor?

How will you join in?
