FILL IN THE BLANK (3 of 4): "What Does It Look Like to Glorify God With My Family?" HOFFMANN

God created us in relationship; He has placed us in families. With each individual, we are commanded to right connections. At each life stage, we bear a responsibility. This talk explores what it looks like to glorify God in our family.

How can I glorify God in my family?

[1] By intentionally living out one’s relational role.

2 Corinthians 13:14 (ESV): The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

[2] By intentionally living out a forming faith.

Deuteronomy 6:4–9 (ESV): Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

[3] By intentionally living out of obedience.

2 Corinthians 9:13 (ESV): By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others,

John 15:8 (ESV): By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
