Luke 10:30-37 ESV: Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell
among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now
by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other
side. 32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other
side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had
compassion. 34 He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set
him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And the next day he
took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever
more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ 36 Which of these three, do you think,
proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” 37 He said, “The one who
showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”
Galatians 4:4-5 ESV: But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of
woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might
receive adoption as sons.

Titus 3:4-7 ESV: But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he
saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by
the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly
through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.

John 15:12-17 ESV: This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are
my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant
does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard
from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and
appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that
whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you,
so that you will love one another.
