MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS (MOPS) |
|
|

Registration is Now Open for 2012 - 2013
MOPS meets at Cool Spring on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays from September
through May. Our first meeting will be held on September 11.
MOPS is a ministry that recognizes that the years from birth through
kindergarten are an adventure and foundational in a mother-child
relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS is about…
· Celebrating motherhood
· Meeting needs
· Making connections
· Experiencing God’s love…through relationships and resources
Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday (September – May) 9:30-11:30
am at Cool Spring, providing
an accepting atmosphere where moms can come relax, fellowship, seek
advice and counsel from other moms who are in a similar stage of
parenting. During these meetings there is food, discussions, teachings,
speakers, creative activities, and service opportunities that encourage
moms to grow in their relationship with Christ and one another.
Childcare is provided.
You are welcome to join us if you are the mother of an infant, toddler,
preschooler or kindergartner. MOPS is here to come alongside you during
this season of early mothering to give you the support and resources you
need to be a great Mom.
MOPS needs you! Positions are available on the Steering Team and in
child care. If interested in either position, please contact Meg Menzies
at menzfam@comcast.net or

work with other health professionals to promote wellness to church
members. This is accomplished through blood pressure screenings, health
information on church bulletin boards, church service handouts, health
information in bathrooms, flu shots, C.A.R.I.T.A.S. assistance,
homebound visits in conjunction with the Pastoral Care Ministry Team,
and CPR courses through the Recreation Ministry.

CARE MINISTRY:
HOSPICE MINISTRY |
|
|
Helping someone in the last weeks and months of their
life is a gratifying experience for hospice volunteers. Volunteers
provide support to the hospice patients by visiting, playing games,
reading to the patient and writing letters. They also provide
caregiver relief so the caregiver can run errands, go to doctor
appointments, or just take a nap! Consider sharing your love and
companionship with terminally ill patients as a hospice volunteer.
