Bridge Builders

Guiding Scripture:

“You will hear your Teacher’s voice behind you. You will hear it whether you turn to the right or the left. It will say, ‘Here is the path I want you to take. So walk on it.’”
Isaiah 30:21 NIrV

Mission

To assist parents in leading their children to become fully committed followers of Jesus Christ.

Vision

Creating opportunities for children to understand the meaning of Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and to continue Christian growth, living connected through discipleship, missions, outreach, worship and recreation.

Goal

We believe parents are an integral part of their child’s spiritual development. Therefore, Pathway Kids partners with families as together we seek to know and experience God and follow Jesus Christ.

Bridge Builders provides an opportunity for children/students with special needs and their families to access church programs, giving them the encouragement, support and accommodations they need to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Objectives:

To include all children in Pathway Kids programming is our primary goal.

To assure safe, appropriate physical space to meet specific needs of some of our children/students.

To provide teen and adult helpers for our children/students who need one to one assistance to access our curriculum and programs

To provide a separate “classroom” for teaching on individual basis (when needed according to individual student ) and for calming down when needed in a behavior episode when accessing and participating in the regular classroom is not possible.

To adapt curriculum as needed to match the individual needs of our children.

To provide individual and group training as well as encouragement to those working with this population helping both student and helper in developing friendships/relationships that break down barriers.

To nurture and support the families of our children/ students in their specific needs.

To educate the “church family” in serving and loving these students and their families.
